  • Happy Thanksgiving! :)
So much to be thankful for. I thank God for giving us the chance to travel this summer, for getting accepted into university, for my family & friends

This long weekend has been absolutely wonderful so far ♥ I had the opportunity to meet up with basically everyone I wanted to see- whether it was planned, or whether we just randomly ran into each other at the mall or whatever. It was reallly nice.
Friday night Sharon, Anushan & Kiran came over at around 9pm to just hangout and catchup with each other's lives. We ended up playig JENGA! :) and at around 11:30pm Anchu & Kiran decided to go get bubble tea at BR... so they went out and bought us bubble tea but didn't come back 'til like 12:30.
Sat I went to sq1 w/ Anh & Becky. Bumped into SO MANY people (ie. Sam & Dima, Henry, Hermen, Christine, Melissa, Amanda etc) it was good to see some familiar faces again. :) I swear when people head back to sauga, first stop for the weekend is always sq1. LOL

On Sunday I had lunch at Congee Dynasty w/ Steven, Anita, Andrea, Stef & Katie! Never imagined we would go dim sum together since we're all so whiteee. HAHA. It was def some memorable timess. Immediately after, my fam we went down to Scarbs for family friend Thanksgiving dinner. Shortly after we returned home at around 11:30pm, Mandy came over and stayed til 2:30AM. haha. talked/laughed about the craziest things. I miss those good 'ol times when it was just so easy to meet up with everyone. It's so difficult now to find a weekend where everyone is home at the same time...but I def treasured this long weekendd. (L)

  • Nuit Blanche'09: light up the night. [Saturday, Oct.3rd,2009]
I was really excited to go to Nuit Blanche this year because I never had the opportunity to attend any cool events. But now that I'm living in T.O it makes it a lot easier to go to these toronto events. I've heard so many good things about previous years of NB. However, it was a slight disappointment. Maybe we didnt go to the right places, or simply b/c we didn't stay out long enough but what we did see wasnt that great. With the exception of one or maybe two pieces of work that were created by students, faculty & staff of Ryerson Universityy.

One particular installation that I really enjoyed was one called inCENTive. The artist had people post wishes online and she printed them out, pasted them onto pennies and glued them onto a 16.5 ft by 2ft panel with over 10,000 wishes. It was def an interesting read. I spent so much time w/ Jenna at this one display reading as many wishes as I could. Some were funny, some were sad, random, cute, and nice. Out of all the displays I saw that night, this was my fav. Second would prob be the gigantic bunny balloon that was at Eaton Center.  The old "boy band" playing in white at the G.Raymond Chang school was rather disturbingg... never again, please.

  • Home Sweet Home♥

I was getting really homesick this past week. Sitting in my dorm by myself, I was starting to pity myself alot and getting upset over the littlest things. I felt really lonely-facing the 4 walls of my dorm day in and out- no roomie, no close friends, no nothing. I haven't been home in 2 weeks and just coming back makes me realize how much I really miss my hometown (yes, I miss mississuga. surprise surprise!) and how much I miss my own bed/room/house etc. I even miss sq1 and all those sauga restaurants that I grew sick of.
It's nice to be home. Atleast at home, I have my brother to argue with. haha I don't want to go back downtown...

  • There was a mini Ryerson Carnival in the quad today and they were giving away FREE springrolls, popcorn, cotton candy and funnel cakee!! I couldn't resist the free funnel cake so a few friends and I waited in line for like 40mins. End result? we got funnel cake alright. It tasted like crapp though- rock hard and stale. Def not as good as the ones Sharon made me!

CCF tonight was reallly goood. We had a bible study and went through many scriptures in the bible. One particular verse that stood out to me was found in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10. It says "But he said to me 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
A lot of things have been on my mind lately- stuff that has been bothering me for quite some time. I have to admit, my relationship with God is kind of at its low. I still go to fellowship but I haven't been regularly reading the bible.
Brian, my TC Coach this year came back to RCCF as a counsellor (since he graduated in June) and when CCF ended for the night he called out my name, waved to me and came over to say hi. I was kind of shocked that he remembered my name and our conversation back in march about me wanting to come to ryerson and all. Anywho, we chatted for a bit just doing a bit of catching up. Jessie and I went to the ILLC for dinner and they were only serving desserts- the only thing left was chicken panini so we just ordered that. It was pretttttyy good! Afterwards I went back to res and skyped Jenn for like 4 hrs! :)
